  • Day 1 Arrive Huay Xai & Cruise to Pakbeng

    You will be picked up at the border town of Huay Xai and transferred to the pier to board your boat for a cruise down the Mekong River to Pakbeng. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to observe rural life along the river and visit ethnic minority villages. A picnic lunch will be served on board. The boat will arrive at Pakbeng before sunset, giving you plenty of time to freshen up, enjoy the river scenery, and admire the surrounding nature.

  • Day 2 Cruise to Pak Ou Caves & Luang Prabang

    The boat sets off for another day of exploring nature along the river, heading towards Luang Prabang. A stop will be made to visit a hill tribe village, where you can observe the traditional process of making Lao whiskey.

    Continuing along the Mekong, you will reach the Pak Ou Caves, renowned for their collection of thousand Buddha statues. After a day spent on the expansive Mekong River, surrounded by picturesque mountain landscapes, untouched nature, and rural life, the cruise will arrive at Luang Prabang, the former royal capital of Laos. After checking in at the hotel, you will have the rest of the day at your leisure to explore the surrounding area and enjoy the charms of Luang Prabang.

  • Day 3 Highlights of Luang Prabang

    Begin your day by visiting Wat Xieng Thong, an exquisite 500-year-old temple and a prime example of the classic Luang Prabang style. Meander through charming side streets to reach Wat Sene, known as the Temple of 100,000 Treasures. Continue exploring, visiting other temples and attractions along the way.

    Explore the National Museum in the former Royal Palace, which showcases exhibits from Laos’s royal past. Phousi Mountain overlooks the palace, and it is believed that those who don't climb its 328 steps have not truly experienced the city. Ascend the hill to enjoy remarkable views of Luang Prabang and the Mekong River.

    For a late visit, explore the bustling night market, where you'll find hand-woven textiles and crafts by the hill tribes and local artisans of Luang Prabang.

  • Day 4 Kuang Si Waterfalls & the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre

Once you reach the waterfalls, you can take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear water or simply relax in the serene natural environment. On your return journey, make a stop at the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre (TAEC) to gain insights into Laos's diverse ethnic cultures. The remainder of the day is yours to spend at your leisure, allowing you to explore and enjoy the surrounding area at your own pace.
