  • Day 2 Phnom Penh

The morning will be dedicated to the recent history of Cambodia with a guided tour of the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum, housed in the school building that was taken over by the Khmer Rouge and used as S-21, its main detention and torture centre. Afterward, visit the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, where thousands of people were killed between 1975 and 1978 and buried in mass graves. These sites may be distressing for some visitors, but they are important pieces of Cambodia's historical and cultural puzzle.

Enjoy a local lunch before visiting the Royal Palace, the residence of the King of Cambodia, and the Silver Pagoda, named for the over 5,000 heavy silver tiles that cover its floors. Continue to Wat Phnom, a fine example of Khmer architecture and carving, and learn how Phnom Penh got its name.

  • Day 3 Fly to Siem Reap & Tonle Sap Lake Boat Excursion

Fly across Tonle Sap Lake to Siem Reap, the gateway to the magnificent temple ruins of Angkor. Upon arrival at Siem Reap airport, you will receive a warm welcome and be escorted to your hotel. Once you have settled in, embark on a tranquil late afternoon boat cruise on Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. Departing from Mechrey village, a boat will transport you across the lake to the floating village, allowing you to observe the daily life of the lake-dwelling people and the natural beauty of the surroundings. Following the excursion, return to your hotel and enjoy the evening at your leisure.

  • Day 4 Discover the Angkor Temples

Begin your temple day with an extensive tour of the extraordinary Angkor Wat. With the guidance of your knowledgeable guide, explore its courtyards and chambers, gaining a deeper understanding of one of the world's greatest man-made wonders. Savour a Cambodian lunch at a local restaurant nestled within the breath-taking setting of the temple complex. Continue your journey to the impressive fortified city of Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Khmer Empire, and the Bayon Temple, adorned with 216 enigmatic smiling faces. Followed by a visit to Ta Prohm, the jungle temple made famous in the Tomb Raider movie. This atmospheric ruin holds a captivating allure, partially reclaimed by the jungle, with massive tree roots becoming an inseparable part of its structure. Conclude your day with a serene Gondola sunset cruise at Angkor Thom, offering a picturesque end to your temple-filled adventure.
